Midthunder is a member of Fort Peck's Assiniboine, and Sioux Tribe. She was originally of The Navajo Nation of Shiprock in New Mexico. After spending the majority of her youth living in Santa Fe (where she went to the Academy for Technology and the Classics and her mother worked for a casting house) after which she came home. Amber has Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both of them are part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother has been adoptive. Amber therefore has unidentified the family tree. Prey has a majority Native American cast including an amazing first-timer Dakota Beavers, as Naru's brother and a producer, Jhane Myers. She is Comanche and Blackfeet and advised on the film extensively. Due to the time period that the movie takes place in, they were not able to cast any pet. Coco as the character's animal Sarii in the movie, was chosen for her unique breed of dog: that of the American Dingo. This breed, also known as a Carolina Dog, is one of the oldest breeds in existence.
TJ has a message to send in this film. TJ narrates how Amanda is his everything. (Although the film is probably about the girl she is with, if you analyze the movie further). He reveals his love for her however, she was unable to accept him due to the fact that she was in a relationship with Daniel. After Amanda's death, Emily revealed that she was Emily. Since then, they are best of friends. In the end of the series, they'll marry. Amanda is the only one to kiss Wilf just before midnight. The entire pot of prize winnings is won by a single person.
